The Machine
My beautiful table has her matched machine! Thanks to all y’all White VSers who’ve shown me the light. I have a few questions about how to make this work. The machine fits nicely but not all is obvious. Please see questions to the right! If you click the black button it will auto-compose an email to me. Thank you in advance for your help!

The Belly - SOLVED!
The belly is currently dragging on the treadle wheel. If I turn the wheel, it rubs. The back side of the belly (closer to the camera) needs to come up somehow, so the belt will work. There are little springs on the front/upper side of the belly (further from the camera). What do they attach to? WHAT FIXED IT: The little springs attach to two little nailheads above them and it’s enough to suspend the belly so the holes line up so the belt will go through properly.

The Screws
THIS PART STILL NEEDS TO BE SOLVED. The original holes go all the way through the tabletop, so it makes me think I should use nuts and bolts instead of screws. Right now my lovely machine is attached to my gorgeous table via two screws, as you see here. There are no nuts on the backside. Should I use nuts/bolts instead? The screws don’t protrude out the lower side of the table here. They’re about 3/4 long.
The top hinges back
I guess maybe it’s supposed to be like this, but…is it ok that the machine isn’t attached on the front side? And only by the hinges on the back?
